For over a decade and a half, Hosea Ramphekwa has carved a niche in the media and literary world as a journalist, communication specialist, author, ghostwriter, writing coach, editor, and publisher.
Hosea, who was in the employ of two of South Africa’s foremost media companies—Media24 and Independent Newspapers—has had his work published in a number of print and electronic publications such as The Star, The Sunday Independent, Cape Times, Pretoria News, Daily Sun, Sunday Sun, DRUM, KickOff, Joburg Post, and FARPost.
Born and bred in Tzaneen, Limpopo, Ramphekwa is a graduate of the University of Limpopo, Rhodes University, and the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in New Delhi, India (2010). He has published four books: Pitso Mosimane: Cry Baby or Misunderstood? (2025), A YellowBone With A Black Heart (2020), Wait To Be Seated (2017), and Gifted, Hunted and Haunted (2013).
His career is marked by a series of notable roles. From 2020 to 2022, he was a Freelance Journalist for KickOff magazine. Since 2020, Ramphekwa has been the Editor for Gospel247.net. Since 2019, he has been a Freelance Journalist for FARPost, an online football publication.
Ramphekwa has been the Creative Director and Content Writer for BizM8 Group since 2018. From 2016 to 2018, he was the Content and Multimedia Manager for Platinum Stars Football Club. Earlier in his career, from 2008 to 2016, Ramphekwa was a Football Journalist for Independent Newspapers Group. From 2006 to 2008, he was a Sports Journalist for Media24 (Daily Sun/Sunday Sun). He has also done freelance work for DRUM magazine.
Ramphekwa is also an accomplished author with four books. His literary work has been recognized with several awards. In 2016, he was named Best Inspirational Personality of the Year at the Mzansi Christian Awards, and he won the 2010 Prof. V.G. Desai Memorial Award at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
